UD Trucks announces new UD Trust - Fixed Price Service Plans for New Zealand

UD Trust Service Plans for Quon

UD Truck Distributors (NZ) Ltd (UD Trucks) is launching UD Trust in New Zealand, a fixed price service plan programme consisting of scheduled service, maintenance and repair agreements tailored to each individual truck in its UD Quon range. This preventative maintenance programme offers owners the opportunity to easily manage costs and maximise uptime.

The UD Trust programme is available on all new UD Quon’s delivered from 1 April 2025. The plans are offered for the first five years (60 months) of the life of the truck, with two levels of cover available.

Colin Muir, General Manager of UD Trucks says, “This is a unique offer in New Zealand for Japanese brands, and a real advantage for those purchasing a Quon. UD Trust offers owners true peace of mind through better cost management, allowing operators to focus on maximising operational uptime.

“We’ve responded to customer demand for a better way to manage service maintenance and repair costs,” Muir continues. “UD Trust is a proven programme across the worldwide UD network, including Australia and South Africa, so it was critical to bring this premium fixed price service plan to New Zealand.”

UD Trucks has a nationwide network of accredited dealers and service agents that will be delivering this new UD Trust Service Plan programme for Quon customers across New Zealand.

Muir explains, “This is huge advantage for customers as service and maintenance costs are shown upfront before purchase, services are booked in advance, incrementally prepaid through a fixed monthly amount, with discounted genuine parts included, based on where a customer is operating, or the application of the truck.”

He adds, “UD Trust plans are tailored to the specific truck applications and usage, from heavy construction to metro freight. There are also two cover options; scheduled servicing or an extensive maintenance and repair plan that limits the variable cost burden of truck ownership. These new plans are not a one-size-fits-all, they are designed for, and by, the operation.”

Muir concludes, “Service management has a large impact on total cost of ownership. We believe the UD Trust programme, with its two cover options of Standard and Ultimate, will provide an immense advantage in day-to-day operations and cost management for fleet owners - another way in which we continue to deliver on UD’s promise of Ultimate Dependability.”
