Influenced by low demand in the Indonesian mining industry, UD trucks deliveries saw a decrease of 10.8% to 19,047 from 21,348 vehicles in 2013.

Deliverables by market area:

 Delivered Vehicles (units)  2012  2013  Change (%)
 North America  436  158  -63.8
 Middle & South Americas  169  273  61.5

 Asia
 Asia Total  16,240  14,238  -12.3
 Japan  9,295  9,535  2.6
 South East Asia  5,946  3,636  -38.8
 Others  999  1,067  6.8
 Oceania    930  926  -0.4
 Africa  3,573  3,452  -3.4
 Total  21,348  19,047  -10.8

Asia
UD trucks deliveries in Asia slipped by 12% with highlights in major markets including Korea, Thailand and South East Asia. The delivery in Indonesia experienced a major setback due to an economic downturn in the mining industry and challenging conditions in the global export market. However, the weak result was compensated by development in Thailand and Korea due to the rapid expansion of UD sales network in both markets. In South East Asia, the deliveries do not include the Quester that launched in 2013. However with its notable acceptance by their customers, UD Trucks expect to see significant increase in deliveries in the year ahead in the area where the first delivery of Quester was made back in December in Thailand.

Middle and South America
UD trucks deliveries in Middle and South America amounted to 273 vehicles with an increase of 62%, a clear reflection of the strong economy.

Oceania and Africa
In Oceania and Africa, UD Trucks deliveries remained steady with a slight decrease of 0.4% and 3% respectively.

North America
Deliveries in North America decreased sharply to 158 vehicles in 2013. Due to a combination of factors that include the continued declining of the cab-over-engine market segment and the cost of regulatory compliance, UD Trucks has ceased its production in the U.S.
