UD Trucks MEENA, in partnership with Jaidah Motors and Al Ijarah Driving School, successfully hosted the local Extra Mile Challenge in Qatar. The event, held on 31st of May 2024, saw 47 skilled drivers from various companies compete to be crowned the ultimate driver.
The UD Extra Mile Challenge is a global competition designed to recognize and celebrate exceptional truck driving skills. The Qatar edition kicked off with a theoretical exam testing drivers' knowledge of road safety regulations, fuel efficiency techniques, and pre-trip inspections. This was followed by a practical driving challenge that put their skills to the test across three demanding stations.

The top 3 performers across participating regions will now have the chance of representing at the UD Extra Mile Challenge Global Finals held annually in Ageo, Japan where they will compete against champions from around the world to be named the ultimate driver. This global stage provides a platform for these drivers to showcase their exceptional skills and knowledge, while also fostering a spirit of camaraderie and knowledge exchange among the international trucking community.
